I bought this very same watch (SRP779) from MassDrop three years ago for 229.99 plus 3.15 for shipping (to Canada), now it is $319 and $8.25 for shipping. Almost $100 more ... WHY?

WatchyoutalkingaboutI hear what you are saying, but this is my daily beater watch. Neither do I own a rolex nor would I wear it daily if i did. I certainly would not accumulate 10-15 cheap watches (seiko or others) in place of 1 , 2 or 3 real pieces that can appreciate in value over period of time. one point you are omitting is that rolex, iwc, omega , etc ( i am not even mentioning patek, JLC, etc) do require an expensive servicing to keep them going
