Seiko's orange monster has the same movement, construction, and 200m rating - but regularly sells for half as much or less. I suppose the "Put Another Dime In" logo is why this watch is so expensive.

VuurwapenSRPA83 does sell for a bit more on the gray market than other models of that line. It's a mystery though. I personally think the PADI mention on the dial and trademark red ruin the design for all the lines where PADI makes an incursion.

VuurwapenGreat point V. I've had my Black Monster (no pun intended) for 10+ years and have beaten the shit out of it. Still looks 9/10 and I've never had one issue. A tank on your wrist for $200 and under

VuurwapenI think this is what some might call a 'baby tuna', 'seiko scallop', 'tuna scallop', or some variant, like the SRP653/655, so it's positioned differently from the regular monsters? E.g., It has a ceramic shroud.
