DaveHoffObviously speed and range are impacted by weight on any board, but since getting this drop emailed to me (and doing a bunch of research), it does seem like your weight can go up and up as longs as you don't break the board and you're willing to compromise a bit on speed and range. When you have more "refueling" options than a car, I think the range is more limited by the rider's endurance ^_^
I haven't seen this short board anywhere else, or Skatebolt's website. It sure looks cool though, and the price is surprisingly low compared to other stuff I saw out there. Is it a Massdrop exclusive?
Sam.FThis is WAY cheaper than most boards I’ve seen that weren’t made for 10-year olds. Most fullsize electric skateboards (that started this segment) are priced over $1000, shorter boards like this are usually around $400-$800. I think this is a soft-launch at “Kickstarter” like funding prices, this model isn’t shown on Skatebolt’s website (but their ”Tornado” full-size model is reviewed a few times on YouTube).
After speaking with our vendor about the load ability we have updated the weight capacity specs to 198lbs or 90kg.
Cheers,
