Don't bother! I had the 1000X and XM2, then got these. I promptly sent them back after confirming with 2 other sets than the NC was significantly worse than the XM2. Tested on flights, in stores, next to vacuum, stove hood fan, clothes dryer. In all cases it was no contest, and since I tried 3 different sets from different sellers, it wasn't just that I had a bad pair. The sound a little better overall, primarily because they have less distortion at high volumes. They're more comfortable and lighter and have a few other features, but they've still refused to implement pairing with 2 devices at once, something the PXC 550 and QC35 have done since 2016! Get the XM2 if you want the best noise cancelling. The 1000X also had NC which was far better than the QC35 in the same tests mentioned above. Part of the problem with the 3s had to do with how poorly they block noise when not even on. The XM2 blocks far more noise when off because the pads are different.
