BlueCrownedIt is Seiko movement NH35A - 24 jewel, which is basically an unbranded version of their caliber 4R35
The accuracy is claimed to be within -20 to +40 seconds. I hate having to reset my watch time every 3 days.
FragglerSerious question: How does one go about determining lost seconds / day? I'm sure it's simple, I guess I haven't really put much thought into it...
Fragglerit depends from 1 watch to another. I've seen reviews of this movement that are off by something like 2 to 3 seconds a day....in an INVICTA Pro Diver.....it's a luck of draw
FragglerBe careful I tried doing that but dog barked, I jumped and hit the one you shouldn’t! Ruined the whole watch , luckily they exchanged it for me cuz it was only 3 days out of 30 day warranty, good lu
FragglerI've done this with the NH35 movement on my spinnaker cahill. It might take a few tries to get it right, because it's a very crude adjustment mechanism, but it was easy over a few days of tracking to dial it in. I just left the back only finger tight while I was doing it to make it easy to get in and out repeatedly.
sackraceThanks, I have nothing to lose and everything to gain...LOL I received the Seiko Bottle Cap on Friday and the accuracy difference is amazing with the same movement.
SupersportI compare it to my atomic clock. I shouldn't be off by 3 minutes in 4 days. I just received my new Seiko Bottle Cap and it is keeping beautiful time.
FragglerIf the error is consistent then it's just a matter of adjusting, so it might be with a little tinkering that it will dial in nicely.
Only issue is it's so easy to over adjust because the lever is not minutely calibrated.
