There have been so many Spyderco knives that I was interested in, but end up having that dumb lack-back style lock; rather than a liner or frame lock. I'm normally not a Spyderco fan because they're usually garbage plastic knives from Asia with a premium price. But when I am into the looks of the knife, and they're not the traditional crappy Zytel handled knives, they've got the lock-back style lock. Just can't win.
DrewDelCheck out the Sage series, mainly the Sage 2. It's the Reeves design, leaf shaped blade, and far better wire clip.
I also have great experience with those "plastic" handle Spydies like the Dragonfly and Salt.
LimeGreenYetiI wasn't trying to saw that they weren't durable, or not well finished. I was just saying that they FEEL cheap, flimsy, not of high quality, and chintzy. I had 1 of them, and it was a handle material worthy of a $90 knife that was made in Colorado. Only because it was on a USA produced knife that was sub $100. I just feel that the FRN/FRCP handles make the whole knife feel crappy. I liken it to a Benz with burlap seats and wood tires.
