abelaThis is a closeout drop for the older model with holes in it. The newer model has an updated design, but this is still an awesome product and you can't beat this price!

PaigeDI have the new one and can't what the fuss is about. Its precarious to use as its surrounded by sharp edges which could cut you in a place where you can least afford. I have the same issue with some of the titanium stove designs. Safety should be of primary concern when designing something for use in the middle of nowhere and i don't believe such products are. I would highly recommend the Vargo product. Way better design, more uses for only a little more weight.

ozedudeThat's the main drawback of all these great ul trowels, imho. If the ground isn't tooooo tough to dig in, you could add some nylon tubing or reinforced auto fuel hose to the end of the handle (just slit it down the middle, maybe tack it in place with some silicone). Otherwise add a couple ounces for a different trowel with a larger comfy handle. The new Vargo is a nice design in this regard, just wish it were a little bigger and made from stronger titanium (which probably is not feasible for the design).
