great price on a great mod. I already have one so I won't be participating, but it's the nicest mod I own.

moflickyGreat price? Why would 1 pay $150+ for this 60w when you could get an IPV mini 2 (70w) for $50-$60 or even the Kanger subox (50w) for around $60?

moflickyI completely agree. This is definitely not winning approval from the affordable patrol, but the quality surpasses most mods. My only gripe is the annoying battery screw, which you must remove to replace the battery. Aside from the battery, this is the perfect mod and worth every penny!

PandaSPURYeah I get that, it seems great but not like it'd be worth $150+. Is it? There's the eleaf istick 40w TC mod for $30 [http://www.vaportekusa.com/40w-eleaf-istick-temp-control-2600mah/#oid=1002_51] Or the IPV D2 70w TC for $60 [http://vapingcheap.com/ipv-d2-box-mod/]. Temperature control's cool and all but it's in a lot of these newer products some for pre-order & still at a third of this price.

ZachLI went from an istick to an sx mini m class and never regretted it once. I decided to make a jump after a few people reporter their isticks catching fire. Haven't heard anyone have that issue with the sx. It's no longer a 60w device, as of last week. The firmware upgrade bumps it up to 75w in power mode and 75 joules in temp control mode. Watch a few videos and you'll understand. The build quality and chip is probably the best on the market right now. I'd buy a 2nd if they had the all black version. Hope that helps. Also, Pioneer 4 You has really shitty build quality standards. Look at the ipv4 for example. They inserted this thin plastic strip to keep the battery from shorting out. A few people have reported their ipv4 catching fire as well. While you could save a few bucks here and there, you're really just paying for peace of mind and upgradeability.

doobie83Yeah I don't really like the looks of the Pioneer 4 You either. That sounds pretty sweet I'll check out some videos now. I haven't heard of the iStick catching fire I wanted that 40w TC.. I've owned the iStick 30w for a couple months now and it's great, using the kanger Subtank mini with .5 ohm vertical coils.

ZachLtwo reasons - build quality and chip design. the P4U have had lots of quality issues with their mods and are more cheaply made and use inferior chips to the SX350j. that's not to say you won't be happy with the IPV, it's just a matter how much you're willing to spend. to each his own.

Eddie.Sagreed. the battery cap is really it's only flaw. the sx350j chipset is flawless and user upgradeable. it just feels great in the hand.

ZachLYou're paying for the quality and customer service that other TC/VW mods don't have. Take the iStick there's numerous reports of it catching fire and the slow customer service, the Sx customer service is superb in every way and the build quality is much higher.

moflickyWhile build quality and materials used are in the favor of the sx mini, p4u uses the same chips from yihi that yihi puts in the sx mods.

tjcaustinIncorrect. yihi provides chips for p4u (SX330 V4S for the IPV4), but they're not the SX350j chip - which is superior in both function and performance.
edit: the IPV2 mini 70w uses the SX330 V2C chip.

ZachLI started vaping with an istick 20w. The pin dropped and was pretty much useless. Bought a 30w istick and then I saw a post on reddit about the istick catching fire. Also saw a few posts about the smok m80 catching fire. After asking on a bunch of forums, the most suggested mod was the sx. I was deciding between this, the vaporshark rdna and the vapor flask. Since then there has been a lot of updates to the sx that made it better and now there's an dna200 chip coming out but it uses LiPo batteries that are more dangerous from what I've been told. Some stores even sell lipo fire containment bags :\

moflickyYihi does make the chip for the ipv4, but yeah it was lacking in features. sx350j > sx330.

tjcaustinIt's one of Yihi's chips, but it isn't the same chip model. A lot of features are missing from 330 chip. Not like you need things like display orientation, gravity sensor or bypass mode (mech mod mode).

doobie83my ipv d2 serves me just fine, and it's smaller than the sx mini. titanium, ni200, kanthal, it does it all. enjoy being charged a premium for no real reason.
