The ridge is an okay wallet. The side plates are about as thick as 2cards each plate. Put a few cards in there and it gets really thick. I carry 2 license, 3 credit type cards, insurance card and two business cards with that its about 3/4 inch thick.... I got the one without the money clip. Thats not good....Wallet is very well made tho.
