Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. 1) When I turn on my computer with the keyboard plugged in, the LEDs do not come on and the keyboard does not work at all. I have to manually unplug and plug in the USB again for it to work. Similarly, when I shut down the computer the LEDs do not turn off and I have to manually unplug the USB again. Does the keyboard need some special driver or anything? I've got 2 Topre keyboards, a Corsair K70 RGB, a Filco Majestouch, and a Ducky Shine 4 and I've never had this issue before. My keyboard came pre-assembled and I'm on Windows 10 Professional 64-bit. This is really annoying to say the least...
2) My keyboard arrived with a few dents and a mark along the edges of the plate. I contacted Masssdrop a few days ago and have not heard back at all. Is their customer support non-existant?
