$36 for USB2.0 support only, no USB 3.0 UASP support? That doesn't seem worth it at all—especially not with the exorbitant shipping to Canada...

Laogeodrittexactly and they show an SSD in there this is borderline misleading advertising if you are lucky you will get 60 Megabytes / seconds over that USB 2.0 compared to around 625 Megabytes on usb 3.0 which will not bottleneck pretty much any sata ssd

I don't think so; it's being clearly marketed as eSATA enclosure which just happens to have USB2 also; and eSATA in this application should be clearly faster than USB3.

w00mThere is more bandwidth on USB 3.0 than SATA II which this dock is but there is more overhead on USB generally.

w00mFirst I admit they release most of the information pretty straightforwardly.
the eSATA connection does redeem this device for people that will use that connection I will admit that. Thank you for posting that.
But even then it is SATA II bandwidth not SATA 3 I quote " eSATA Transfer Speeds up to 3.0 Gbps " which is still way better than USB 2.0 but still a disappointment. The need to note is this thing is last gen and people need to understand that before buying it. Especially SSD users so they are not disappointment.
