I've got 2 of these and I love them! I've actually lifted over 500lbs with Paracord and it was a piece of cake! These are TOOLS that have STYLE ! You couldn't even get a d ring that can hold the weight these are capable of for $30! I've been in construction using and relying on tools for 30 years and don't regret 1 penny I spent on these! This is more than a decoration, I think that's what some of you don't realize. For me I like to buy something once and have it last forever and these PB's will certainly last many years. I use mine for lots of light weight camping kinda stuff that something cheaper might do, but it's way better to have something I Know won't break that can be counted on for emergencies or bigger loads.

HammerHandPardon me, but if you are lifting over 500lbs with paracord, you... are seriously doing it wrong. Getting anywhere near the load limit is a REALLY bad/dangerous idea, however tacticool your carabiners...

Mission accomplished anyway. This thing is obviously a gimmick.

BRAILLEIt was mostly a pretty safe test to see what the performance of the PB9 actually felt like when using it. Perhaps I'm tossing out the word "Paracord" a bit loosely? It was actual cord with a load rating much higher than 500lbs, if I remember right it was an Amsteel cord with a load rating 3 or 4 times that of the sports store Paracord. (1250lbs I think?) I'm not saying you should climb with these and I'm not a climber, just a guy who's used tools enough to recognize serious quality of construction in when I see it. Bottom line for me is I just have a love for well made gadgets that I can use regularly in normal things, general not more than a few hundred LBS. But like knowing that I can occasionally push the limits pretty far when I want or need to. I take these on all my camping trips and they perform wonderfully! Mostly light work but if I need a rock or tree out of the road they do the job.! Plus I've followed the creators projects for over a year now and check it out for yourself on the KS where he created it, 100's of people have bought these and are more than happy and wanting more.
