I got this watch (Rose gold) at $299 during their kickstarter campaign, haven't received them up to date as it was delayed till mid October. Now it's on Massdrop with the lowest price at $219. So I made a loss of almost $100. Here I was thinking kickstarters are meant to be cheap for the people who opt in earlier. Heck, I couldn't even get my hands on them any much earlier. 10/10 would not do business again.

I believe you mean 0/10 if you had this poor of an experience...

He means he's 100% sure he won't deal with them again.

The goal of Kickstarter is to help fund a project and get a creator's dreams out of his/her garage. The fact that you can get a good deal is something that has built up over time, but it's not what Kickstarter is "meant for."
I do agree that it's shoddy business for them to sell them before even getting them out to all of their backers though.

I'm also a supporter of their kickstarter campaign and haven't received mine yet. I'm sadly disappointed to see this watch here this early.. Now people might actually get it before me while paying less...

Not to mention they were being so stingy with the deployment clasps too during the kickstarter campaign. Now everyone has one!

Dear @naoo, we hear you and would like to clarify:
Kickstarter backers do have better perks than Massdrop buyers, and even with an optional add-on deployment during Kickstarter campaign, the Stainless-steel is USD $9 cheaper than Massdrop.
On top of that, Kickstarter backers will enjoy worldwide-free shipping, enjoy an optional free laser-engraving worth USD $20 on travisleon.com, enjoy an additional premium leather strap worth USD $49.
And we would like to highlight that Massdrop is a good platform for those who wants to participate in group buys and are willing to wait a little more.
We will do our best to make sure that each backer receives priority in delivery. To date we have made sure all stainless-steel backers have received theirs, and we're currently doing the same for rose-gold backers.
We're extremely dedicated and thankful to all our backers including yourself, and completely understand your concerns. We hope that we've been able to address them and you can continue supporting Travisleon. If you would like to get in touch with us, you can email us at: support@travisleon.com
