The description sounds like a bunch of marketing double talk. It's a soft, overpriced t-shirt.

Jkross22Massdrop's specialty is bringing high-quality enthusiast products to the people that like them. I understand that not everybody wants or needs a high-end tshirt, but many clothing enthusiasts are really into this stuff (myself included). This isn't as cheap as what you'd see from a mass-market brand, but that doesn't mean that it's not a good deal.
In short, some people like the details and craftsmanship that make these shirts different than mass-produced ones. It's just like every community here on Massdrop. I can't comprehend why people would spend $400 on headphones or $600 on a pen, but I don't question their reasoning because I know that they know more about those products than me and are passionate about the details.

IanAndersonI'm not dogging the buyers of the shirt. I'm dogging it's marketing. People who are passionate about their t-shirts may indeed love this kind of ad print, but it comes off as over the top.
It was my understanding that Massdrop's specialty was to provide a means for people to pool their buying power, buy in bulk, and get a reduced price with Massdrop taking a cut. High quality enthusiast products are available ubiquitously online. My perception of Massdrop's value is that you guys can negotiate directly with a manufacturer on bulk pricing, design or other customization decisions. That's a unique service.
At the bottom of this page, I see highlights of 2 unique looking and well priced watches, a pair of unique shoes priced at $40, and a wool blanket that looks really well priced for what it is. Those products and others like them keep me coming back and curious, even though they don't appeal to me.
Sorry for the rant, but thought your reply was worth taking a few minutes to respond.

Jkross22Thanks for the feedback! I do stand behind he product here (I own several VS shirts and sweaters) but thanks for the heads up that the copy may have distracted from that message.
