This is what I think people were expecting. I would request for Victorinox to replace them all. They obviously have the capability.

jbmundyThis is exactly what I was expecting it to look like. I can't believe how terrible they look. I am glad I'm not the only one. When I first posted this a week or so ago I was wondering if somehow mine was just defective, apparently not.

HarneConfigI was looking forward to mine having been out of town when it was delivered this week. When I got it out all I could think was "wtf." I can't imagine anyone being happy with what I received. Honestly if the top was fully saturated, crisp color and faded off the edges, I could live with it. But it looks like when I tried to make a fake ID in highschool in Microsoft paint.

jbmundyI agree 100%. I wouldn't mind the faded white edges, but when the whole thing looks like it was printed with a 10 year old ink jet printer, that's another story... I would love to get a better quality version. I planned on carrying this around for daily use, but I'll pass on it's current state.

jbmundyIn a project the defects are found before the release of a product. A solution is determined and the defects are resolved and communicated to the stakeholders even if that means delaying the release of the product. If allowed and the process is not monitored the manufacture will create a product like we see here. This suggest they did not take the order seriously and the risk or impact to their brand was low by their estimation (Likely due to the volume). What's more concerning is that the resulting product was not reviewed before the release and the defects were included in the final product And sent to the customer. Essentially this is the responsibility of MD because of its "exclusivity" and the fact that the product was offered here.

BlackElkWell Victorinox guarantees against manufacturer defects. I would say that is what this is and I do think it's up to MD to fix it. I hold Victorinox responsible for the poor quality but MD responsible for the solution. I would have thought MD would have opened one, seen the quality and sent the whole shipment back. I for one am returning it. I would rather carry the plain red Spartan vs this.
