Out of Barcelona, Spain, Viscata makes some of the nicest espadrilles we’ve ever come across, with little details that set them apart from the rest, like leather lining and an elastic band for easier fit. They are the quintessential example of this shoe style and we couldn’t be happier to feature them on our site.
Personally, growing up in Argentina, ‘espadrilles’ (or ‘alpargatas’ as they’re called in Spanish) were ubiquitous of warmer months and comfort style. From the countryside to the polo fields, espadrilles are truly classy enough to be dressed up with the right outfit yet still remain casual enough to be an everyday style. The more you wear them the more comfortable they get, much like a good pair of jeans or leather boots — the fabric will open up and start molding to your feet.
For sizing purposes: These tend to run on the small side of things. We recommend going with your true size or size up if you’re between sizes. I wear a 9.5 on the Brannock and I wear a size 10 (43 EU) on these.
