A question for owners of this and similar design wallets: Do you have to take out all your cards to get at one in the middle? I know Ridge popularized this design and spent a lot of money to market it, and others are benefitting from looking like it, also that there are subtle differences like the inner polish, v-shaped ridge to aid with card insertion, etc, but I just want to know how is the functionality of this design when you have to live with it?

EvshrugI own a Ridge Carbon Fiber, For cards, you push them all out just a little bit, and then you can pull the one you need out easily. The profile of it is super slim, seriously, I've had it jam-packed with cards and bills, and it was still smaller than my old wallet that was empty. It's super comfortable as well, the price though? Hell no, I got mine as a gift and I was super thankful, but I could never warrant paying $115 for a wallet. But hey, that's just me.

VahkiBut they all come out at once, when you push up on that little cutout, then you have to push them back in one by one (or so) until your desired card is revealed. I got a TrayVax Summit instead (Actually, a Travax Axis, but the Summit came free, and I kind of like the simpler wallet more). Pretty much the same slimness, but the big cutouts on the side let you thumb out the top card, which usually brings out the cards underneath in almost a fan. It is easier with two hands, but I broke my arm, and while I had my arm and hand wrapped in a sling I was able to get out my cards with my left hand OK. I kind of needed a separate one-handed wallet, because what I was using before was a bifold phone-wallet case, and it was basically too hard to hold it open and make the photos/videos I need to make money. Lol, so I spent money on a wallet to make money... feels meta to me 🤣
