Massdrop Blue Box Sennheiser Exclusive Grab Bag
60% of those joining this drop will receive a $19.95 pair of headphones (link below with free shipping) for $28.99. This extra $9 is buying you a 30% chance at a $37.63 pair of headphones (at link below, making it a savings of $8.54 vs. the $28.99). So you're really betting $9 for a 30% chance at saving $8.54, or, in terms of betting odds, a drunk-fool's horseshit wager. The point of this website is to collectively pool purchasing power to...

Product Question
I'm interested in HE5XX and I only have Audient iD14 audio interface(the old model). So I'm curious if the headphone output of my audio interface is enough for HE5XX and other headphones like HD6XX of Sennheiser. Specification for the headphone output of Audient iD14(old model) is: MAXIMUM OUTPUT LEVEL: +12 dBu (0 dBFS digital maximum) DIGITAL REFERENCE LEVEL: +12 dBu = 0 dBFS OUTPUT IMPEDANCE: <30 Ω unbalanced VOLTAGE GAIN: +6 dB (optimised for loudness) FREQUENCY RESPONSE: ±1.0dB 10Hz to Fs/2 (load dependent) CROSSTALK: <-100 dBu @ 1kHz & 10kHz THD+N @ -1dBFS (1kHz): <0.002% (-94 dB) DYNAMIC RANGE: 108 dB un-weighted, 111 dB A-weighted MAXIMUM LEVEL into 30 Ω: +4 dBu 0.005% THD+N Power: 101mW MAXIMUM LEVEL into 60 Ω: +5 dBu 0.004% THD+N Power: 64mW MAXIMUM LEVEL into 600 Ω: +13 dBu 0.0025% THD+N Power: 39mW 1/4” TRS JACK: Tip (Left), Ring (Right) & Sleeve (Shield)

Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X Gaming Headset
If you imagine a circle ⭕️ fitting inside an ellipse, the PC37X has only slightly less deep frontal projection but a consistent distance all around, while the Q701 ellipse is wider at the sides. A better DAC and Amp helps the Q701 to have a rounder soundstage, and also reveal more layers separating the depth of distances than the PC37X. All my previous responses to you about why I ultimately preferred the PC37X still stand. Best soundstage...

Product Question
I'm really interested in these headphones, love my Sennheiser HD6XXs. But I've gotten used to the wireless capability of my Logitech G930s. Is there a way (hardware?) to make these PC38Xs (or any wired headset/headphones) wireless. In my case, these would be used for a PC and my PC doesn't have wireless or bluetooth.

Best headphones on the go?
After getting sucked into audiophilia by some Sennheisers, I've decided that I will never again own a pair of headphones/IEMs that don't have detachable/replaceable cables. As for what I listen on when on the go, I always end up choosing my Noble 3 universal IEMs. Open back headphones sound amazing at home in a nice, quiet room. They sound awful when you are surrounded by awful sound... like when you're on the bus/train or where the noise...

Product Question
Question for those who already have this headphone. I just received mine about an hour ago and while I realize they need to be broken in for up to 200 hours, they sound very bright and somewhat weak on bass. How much change can I expect once broken in? I have yet to try any of the dampening pads and figure I'll wait till the stock headphones are fully broken in. My other headphones are Sennheiser HD 660 S which sound completely different and definitely warmer.

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX Headphones
There are some great DSP/DAC/Amp options out there with separate mic inputs. I have extensive experience with Creative’s 5.1 Omni and upgraded to the Sound Blaster X7, right now I sold the X7 and am using a Sennheiser GSX 1000. Another option you always have is to just get a separate USB microphone, like a Blue Snowball (I have their ICE model in white). The Omni is a decent starting place, with a fairly strong price to performance ratio...

Product Question
Why still so expensive? Drop and Sennheiser can both do better. When I first heard the 8XX was a thing, I was stoked to pick up what I thought was going to be a sub-$1000 headphone in the HD800 family. Guess I'm still waiting.
