Will there be a 4 pin XLR balanced cable available for this? Alternatively, if I were to order one from another company, would I want a single sided cable, TRRRS (4 pole?) 2.5mm to 4 pin XLR? It's important for me to get it right, as my main amp (Nitsch DSHA-3FN) is balanced only, and any mis-wiring of the cable could short out the amp! That would not be good...

AxelGrellThat's great news! I hope it is available when these ship, or very shortly thereafter. Thanks Axel!

I have similar question: if we want to use balance should we get dual 2.5mm to 4 pin xlr? it seems the 4.4mm cable that comes with it only connects to one 2.5mm plug on one side of the headphones? Weird.. i wonder if my 4.4 to 4pin xlr adapter would work with the included 4.4mm cable?

My bad, I was going off the pictures and assuming the bigger 4.4mm was the balanced cable. Yea, according to description the balanced is the single plug-in. Weird, wonder why that is.
MikeypasThe cable concept of the OAE1 is very flexible. You can use single sided balanced or unbalaced cables or double sided balanced or unbalanced cables. The sockets for balanced (and unbalanced) signals on the left and on the right side are connected with a balanced over-the-head cable. When the 4.4 to 4 pin XLR is made according to the standards it will work without problems.
