Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. Update 1:
I have been trying to contact the original makers for this set. This set was made for family and friends of Camp China so they are not looking to do a rerun of the keycaps. Looks like the original designer is no longer in contact with anyone from geekhack. This make it difficult to determine whether or not we can create a group buy for this. It is very easy to reproduce the set but for obvious reason and out of respect, I do not want to copy the set and make a rerun. I will do some research and may consider running this in a different profile.
Update 2:
GREAT NEWS! Kono store is doing a CMK version of the Camping set! See the comment I posted below for details. PS: I have absolutely no affiliation with Kono Store/ https://kono.store/products/gmk-camping
