VinaigreDeRizSix months ago if anyone would have suggested I might opt for a Russian watch, I would have laughed. Now that I have one in hand, I have a little more respect for the brand, even if I'm still no fan of the government. I read this on the Vostok website: Vostok-Europe watches represent an unprecedented alliance of Eastern European and Russian timekeeping. By combining the watch-producing team in Vilnius, Lithuania with the largest Russian watch manufacturer Vostok the result is a unique fusion of tradition, innovation and cost-effective style… Yes, they're are made in Lithuania, but I suspect the arrangement is really an intricate Kremlin-sanctioned money laundering scheme! Criminal activity aside, after visiting their site, I learned my watch is part of Vostok's "Limousine" line, said to be influenced by the Soviet-made luxury cars once handed out to high-ranking party officials. In general, they have a pretty extensive line up-- for anyone unfamiliar with brand, it's worth a visit to check things out: https://www.vostok-europe.com

RayFYou're probably right, but I think there's more laundering to be done in the oil or gas industry than in watches ;) But yeah, they really have their own identity. How big is this one?
