While it is nice to see US developed items, it might be disappointing to see how few items would fill that category. I'm one to simply assume if it doesn't mention its country of origin, it's definitely made... elsewhere in the world.
I also agree with Alex in that there are a lot of small time developers out there making products everywhere in the world. For example, there are a lot of new, interesting audiophile products coming from China these days. Competitively priced with great performance.

CyphreI did a search for USA made products and was quite surprised how many products are still made in the USA with care and quality. I am not suggesting we only buy American. I was just suggesting we have a community option. I think we as consumers have accepted the global economy as our default, with good reason, however, there are many good, small companies in the USA that manufacture here. It would be nice to see that option. A USA made community could have clothing, pro audio, everyday carry and a host of other products made in the USA. I know. I did the search.

frank3845One problem is that many small US operations don't ship overseas, or else only have some ridiculously expensive shipping option (like $50-100 for a piece of clothing).
