What can you tell us about the vintage Seiko? It looks like a nice design. I'm curious as to the era it's from and what kind of movement it has.

PetrosDIt is a Seiko 7T32-7C60 (serial 661092) and was one of my first dress watches with alarm/dual time. Based on the serial, and it being caliber 7T32 I'm sure it's from June 1996 (21yrs old by now) and I'm pretty sure I bought it around Christmas that year for around 250 Dutch Guilders (we didn't have Euro back then). Unfortunately this version has no lume on the dials and or hands which is one of the reasons I hardly every wear it: the original leather strap is still on it ;-) The alarm has a nice chime and you do wake up from it. It also can double as another timezone. The watch is not waterproof. The odd thing is, when I google this model and year, I hardly find any gold colored ones and the ones I do find have different dials on them that all do have lume. Mine are just plain black. Since I bought it at a department store, I'm sure it came like this, but I wonder why mine has a leather strap, black dials and no lume? http://www.watchsleuth.com/seikodatefinder/

I asked because the watch has some similar style cues to my Seiko 5T52-6A19 (serial number 072284). This was also my first GMT watch, and also has an alarm complication. Thanks to the watchsleuth link you sent, it looks to have been manufactured in July 1990. As I recall, I bought that for business travel that year, or possibly 1991, when I traveled to Germany from the US. I still have the original strap, which has hardly been worn. It was too small for my 8" wrist, and I put it on a longer Speidel black leather back in the day. Just the other day I put it on a leather NATO, but I need one with yellow gold hardware. I should note that it's 37.5mm without the crown, 42mm lug to lug, and 20mm lug width.

PetrosDI had a similar Seiko, but with the darker face (-6A39). It was given to me as a gift by my parents, but I lost it at some point. Do you happen to remember what this watch retailed for at the time? I'll have to see if I can find one used, it's always bugged me that I lost it.

mrvcoI really have no recollection of how much I paid. I still have the box and will check tonight if I have the receipt in it. If I do I'll let you know.

PetrosDTo add to the world timer love here's my 5t52-7a11 I got in the late 90's. I originally saw it on a visa or MasterCard ad and was traveling globally so thought it made sense to get 😎

Z-manVery cool design. Looks like essentially the same watch, but very nice dial.

PetrosDCool didn't see your reply until now! That is a nice Seiko indeed! Since I now have my first Seiko with GMT I must say I like having a second timezone on it.
