I have a X-mid 2p. Now I'm also thinking of getting the 1x to cover our 3 pax family properly. But does 1p pitch a bit lower than the 2p? I've pitched the 2p around 123-125cm (4'0 or 4'1) and my trekking poles range from 120-140cm. Will they be ok for 1p as well? 2nd question: is 1p a bit shorter inside? As 190cm (6'2) I find the 2p great but am a bit worried about the 1p. The pictures were not 100 % comparable so that's why I'm asking.

The 1P is lower but only slightly. It's about 2cm shorter typically - so it should be ok with your current poles. The 2P fly is 5cm longer than the 1P fly, but the 2P also has more inward wall slope, so the length available for sleeping (e.g. height at about 20-30 cm off the ground) is pretty much the same. However, the inner for the 1P is a bit shorter because the gaps between the inner and fly are about 3cm larger on either end, so the sleeping length in the 1P inner is about 6cm shorter. The floor is about 12cm shorter, but with steeper end walls so about 6cm shorter at 30cm off the ground. So it is shorter, but there's also large gaps between the inner and fly where it's normally not a problem if the foot of your sleeping bag pushes on the mesh a bit (as long as the fly is pitched tight so it's not flapping around).
