Alba is a Seiko sub-brand aimed at the domestic market. This one uses a Seiko quartz movement.
I especially like the case and dial design. The case is on the smaller side, approximately 38mm diameter.

It looks like Baby's First Panerai. 🤣
Alba has a great Totoro line also, and they are particularly known for "pair watches," matching his-and-her designs for rabu-rabu couples and oshidori spouses.

An oshidori is a mandarin duck. According to Wikipedia, "In traditional Chinese culture, mandarin ducks are believed to be lifelong couples, unlike other species of ducks. Hence they are regarded as a symbol of conjugal affection and fidelity." This applies also to Japan, so an "oshidori fuufu" is a couple that is very lovey-dovey who dote on each other. In practice, it tends to be used to describe certain celebrity couples, but it seems to be a jinx since many such couples get divorced. In fact, I think the tabloid media may get a whiff of marital trouble and deliberately build up couples as oshidori, knowing that when the end comes it will help newsstand sales.
It's surprisingly common for young couples to wear matching "pair" clothing in Japan. I wonder if there is a relationship between this and the declining Japanese fertility rate. It's the Japanese equivalent of a guy wearing a v-neck sweater that his girlfriend has given him, rather than just tossing it in the trash as any red-blooded guy would do.

CloacaThanks! I saw the duck reference, but did not not get the implied social/cultural meaning.
