RayFThanks. Actually is my entertainment center. You have pretty nice shots as well, what camera do you use?

aluxnahualWhoops--looked kind of rustic so I wasn't sure if it was furniture-grade rustic or otherwise.
I have a couple of Nikons (D800e and D850) but now then, I just grab my iPhone (8). I run everything through Lr for post before I upload to...wherever.
I travel a lot and generally stick to Landscape subjects, but when I'm stuck at home, I tend to shoot whatever's lying around on my desk (mostly out of boredom).
The stuff I like usually ends up here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/rayfriedman/?
Cheers!

RayFSweet! I just visited your flickr gallery very nice. Here is mine https://www.flickr.com/photos/aluxnahual2009/ I have an old Canon 3Ti that I use but as you I've been using my Iphone (8plus) more and more. I've been saving for a Sony Alpha 7III . I ordered the Jinhao 159, thanks for the recommendation :) did you have to get another nib for it? if so, which one and where did you get it from. Enjoy the weekend..

aluxnahualHa--I see we have more in common than photography: I have a dog and drink booze too ;- )
The Sony is a good choice for a mirrorless full-frame, but I wouldn't pull the trigger until the reviews come in on the new Nikon Z series (their answer to the A7). They were just announced this week-- you can check 'em out here: https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/mirrorless-cameras/overview.page?icid=img_en_us:hp:slot:1:ml:ml_cameras:082318:wwa_ml#z-series-rethink
As for those Jinhao 159s, I have three and each one writes a little differently, but all are keepers (meaning I haven't decided to swap out the nibs just yet). If I do, I'm guessing I'd opt for one of the replacement nibs offered on Goulet Pens--they have a ton of options.

And happy Friday to you as well!

aluxnahualVery interesting. First generation of anything is iffy but two years from now these cameras will be light years ahead of where they are now. The competition will fierce--real dog eat dog stuff. Glad I just spent a bundle on a D850--that should keep me out of the fray for the time being!
