Oh man a Razer Blade drop would be amazing. It's like the only one of the high-end thin gaming laptops this generation that doesn't look hideous.

alex7900Well, the Gigabyte Aero 14/15 both look pretty nice. There's also the XPS 15, which isn't meant to be a gaming laptop but it has a GTX 1050 in it.

Popopopperyeah, but I'm not interested in a ~$2000 laptop made of plastic. Plastic is for something you replace in a year.
And the XPS 15 does look really nice, but why go with a 1050 when you can get a 1060 for a little more (with an i7)?

alex7900To get an external video card connected via thunderbolt? Although that would cost a lot of money. But, durability-wise, it should last longer this way, lower temperatures in laptop may extend its life (although you'd be tied to a desk to play serious games, only simple ones would work well on a 1050).

Soapman88I actually ended up buying it, and have enjoyed it a lot. Performance is amazing. The only things I'm not totally happy with are that it uses Nvidia Optimus, which makes it a pain to use the GPU in Linux, and that the touchpad is a Synaptics one, which is crap.

alex7900I ended up getting the gigabyte pw55. I LOVE the look and everything about the blade but looking at the reviews from newegg and amazon and seeing the amount of problems 6+months in I didn't wanna take the risk. Glad it worked out for u, a bit jealous.
