I've already got two Leap Motion controllers... They're not as great as the video makes them out to be. It can be fun, but it's way too touchy to be reliable for anything other than media control gestures and games to show your friends how Leap Motion works (which isn't very well).
Why do I have two? The shipper screwed up the pre-orders for a whole bunch of people and I didn't want to wait for a week when I could just pick one up at Best Buy - so I did.

john.kreitlowI've heard rumors of a software update that makes them much more reliable. Does that exist or is it vaporware?

r4v5They have constant updates of their SDK, if you are technically inclined and dabble in computer vision here is their documentation: https://developer.leapmotion.com/docs
