Get a good old Peugeot with steel burrs instead of ceramic. You get finer control of the grind, solid construction and no batteries to fail.

rosie___xoCan’t argue with that. Peugeot has an extensive line of grinder styles, each uglier than the last. But on the the positive side they really work better.

OrCohenYeah. My salt mill is a German ceramic design with a stainless center post for just that reason. It doesn’t provide the pinpoint control of the Peugeot mech but salt is corrosive to metal systems so I got the best ceramic one I could find for salt.
