Realistically what does a water-resistant title for this bag mean? Could water definitely get through the zipper flaps and soak your stuff? Anybody have or can think of a method to prevent this from actually happening and thereby turning this into an affordable, more useful bag?

m0arpheusI'm guessing rain/snow resistant. So you wouldn't be able to swim across a lake with it, but getting caught in a surprise shower whilst waiting for the next bus should be less stressful.

m0arpheusIt can't be dunked in water but otherwise is made of waterproof fabric that is welded (no seams to leak through) and with a waterproof zipper flap.

m0arpheusIt's not meant to be submerged - but most rain shouldn't bother it.

m0arpheusIf you want something fully waterproof, look in to boat bags. I have a 50L Mustad boat bag with a waterproof flap instead of zippers. It looks like you could throw it in the open ocean for three months and your jumper would still be dry, and only cost me $40.

m0arpheuswater-resistance for this bag: If it's fully zipped and sitting in a standard, upright, bottom-on-the-ground-top-facing-the-sky position, stuff inside will not get wet. It's not a water-tight zipper, so if water is getting to the zipper, there will probably be a little liquid that seeps into the bag.
