I got deskmount headphone stands from a studio equipment supplier, three 'single' headphone clamp to desk stands for about $35. In reality, these 'single' headphones stands I bought can generally hold two headphones because they have a broad platform and have two spots for cables to be anchored positioned at the end. The platform for holding headphones on these looks narrow, so I would be more inclined to think that you can't fit two headphones on one hook. The design of this also positions headphones below the desk, whereas what I have positions headphones slightly above the level of the desk. I think that buying two 'studio spares' desk clamping headphone stands is probably a better buy than buying this ADV product. The best use case I can see for this is when you want to have multiple pairs of IEMs. The 3 cord slots on each one could mean having 6 pairs of IEMs on one stand, which is pretty cool.
micahjroseIf you didn't mind the cluttered look it would likely cause, you could hold 4 pairs of HD6XX sized cans on this stand. Because studio headphones lean the cans toward your face (usually... HiFiMan headphones are a notable exception), you would have to alternate which direction they were facing. The fact that one arm is lower than the other would keep the two sets in the middle from pushing each other away too much. If you did mount four pairs, you'd only be able to use the center cable guide on each arm, though. I grabbed one of these mounts off of Amazon a few months ago when my previous headphone mount bit the dust. It had been one of the double-sided tape sorts of deals, and I decided not to risk another fall, regardless of how amazing 3M tape might be. Since my computer tower sits above the mount point I chose on my desk, this one doesn't look out of place for me, and it feels a lot more secure than the previous mount or any of the desktop stands I've tried. I really like it.
