For the price, I wish I paid just a tad bit more for a higher quality standalone mic. The quality is mediocre for the price, just my 2 cents.

buzzking00the quality did sound sub par for previous versions i listened to. thanks for the feedback; i will pass.
I will say though that i /have/ a good stand alone mic, but it is not ideal for gaming as it picks up a lot of ambient noise quite well,, including my typing on my medium-clacky keyboard. i constantly hot mic.
i am on the mass drop made similar drop that doesn't ship for a while still, but i need two (one for office one for home); so was considering this one.

gdoteofIt's not bad for a spare. When I put my headphones on my headphone stand, the mic hits the table or the mic stand which is quite annoying. I realized my headphones AKG 7xx did not have a good place to put the mic on in the first place.
