Unfortunately its Gigabyte and if you ever have a problem, you will have to deal with their terrible warranty/RMA service. I've had 4 bad experiences with them so far. Nothing like sending something in for warranty repair/replacement and getting your broken motherboard back with no attempt at repair or having them damage your motherboard in their repair facility. They also have damage other people's graphics cards that were sent back for repair. I'd rather spend more money and get a MSi or EVGA graphics card becuase at least the warranty is worth something.
junkiI've had four bad experiences in with their warranty/RMA process over the past 10 years and Gigabyte USA has a F rating with the BBB due to their RMA and repair service.
wh0ismrxI'm surprised too, but it is only based on 3 reviews. Not as many people submit reviews to the BBB anymore, so I can see how this might happen. Especially considering that a dissatisfied customer is way more likely to speak out.
That said, I've had several outstanding experiences with MSI's RMA/Warranty process, one of which includes them replacing an out of warranty (by a few weeks) motherboard (1156 pin) that I broke by hooking up the PSU wrong. Not bad, MSI!
blahhhLook at that MSi and ASUS have A ratings. Gigabyte has an awful rating. It backs up what I said about Gigabyte's awful RMA?Warranty service. Gigabyte does not treat its customers properly and constantly messes up the RMA/Warranty process. ASUS and MSi don't. Many of the bad reviews on Gigabyte's BBB page fell off due to their age. Not long ago they had 60+ open cases related to their warranty/RMA process.
After four bad experiences with their RMA process, I stopped buying Gigabyte products. Their products are great if you NEVER will need the warranty.
BavorI'm still super excited for this drop to finally ship... I'm going to take my chances and hope that either I will not need to RMA my card or Gigabyte will stand by it.
BavorYeah. Those "A" ratings, at least for MSI, and perhaps to a lesser degree for ASUS, are pretty meaningless. For MSI, they are only based on 9 reviews (for ASUS, they are based on 56, - which is getting to some sort of a sample, but still pretty small). And that "F" for Gigabyte is based on a total of 3 whole reviews (2 negative and 1 positive). ASUS, the largest of the 3, has over 1000 complaints on BBB, while Gigabyte has a bit over 50 and MSI, over 100 - probably more or less proportional to the amount of business. But as they're not "reviews" they don't seem to factor into the score.
In summary, I wouldn't put too much weight on the letter scores from BBB for Gigabyte (and ASUS, MSI).
