I always feel that facts should be considered over theory. The facts are, as the manufacturer of this product, we have shipped thousands of pieces across the country, and have never had a single complaint or return. The product works great. It opens oysters safely, and the bottle opener never gets in the way. It also does a great job with that task as well. It is easy to look at a product and theorize about what might happen. However don't you think it would be more fair to offer a review based on actually trying it? If you want to advise people that they should always wear a glove regardless, based on real experience, then that I would consider to be valuable advice. But criticizing a product you haven't tried isn't nice.

Deaomega1214I haven't tried heroin either. Should criticism of that product also be limited to users? Your argument is flawed. Sometimes it's ok to use common sense.

chadddcI'm awfully glad you don't use heroine. I'll let the twelve endorsements of my comment speak for me.

Deaomega1214Ya and because there is no thumbs down option, we'll never know how many agree that your comment is a load of B.S. People can criticize a product without trying it. I happen to agree that an oyster knife with an extra sharp, jagged end seems like a bad idea.

Deaomega1214Takes no time to put arrogant jerks in their place. I've literally spent 60 seconds on this exchange. To be honest, that's probably more time than you or your company are worth. As for insight, if you can't see how a second sharp appendage on an oyster knife might be a cause for concern, you're too dense to be helped.

chadddcThe most important word you used here is "might". This your theory. You have no facts to back it up. So let's look at some facts. Mass drop has sold hundreds of these, and we have never had a single one come back or received a single complaint. If the product did what you theorize then we would have a problem. The fact is it doesn't.
If if you would like to purchase one, and if you don't like it, I am happy to give you a full refund out of my own pocket. If you look at the review that just came in, you'll see that here is a person who bought it used it and liked it.
In my world a review from some one who has used it is more valuable than a review from someone who hasn't. people work hard to develope a product. They invest money and time. My point has always been that it isn't fair or nice to trash those efforts and write a questionable review when you have not used it. If you use it and hate it, then your opinion is very valid in my opinion, and I would seek to learn from it.
People can write anything they want in a forum,. I just hope people have enough common sense to see a useful review verses a non useful review. Obviously we will never agree on this, so I'll wish you the best and I hope you find an oyster knife that will meet your needs.

Deaomega1214You could have avoided this entire conversation had you just started with the beginning of your fourth paragraph. It contradicts everything you've been saying. Instead, you chose to argue with a potential customer in an open forum where people come to discuss the products. This isn't a review board. A massdrop member comes on here with concerns about a feature of the product and you proceed to slander him for voicing his concerns. Here's a text you might find useful. https://goo.gl/VLYkA0
