What happened to the price? When I committed to the lowest drop price on 8/21, my total with shipping was $258. Now the lowest drop price is $275 + shipping. Assuming this drop completes, how much will it cost me?

neil.rI noticed that, too. I had remembered this being around $250 at the minimum price, and now it's all the way up at $275... I guess they didn't have as many people buying as they anticipated?

guerrilla154I've submitted a support request. Hopefully they can answer before the drop is up - I'm already wavering on it.
@ArmourLite : do you have any info?

neil.rHi neil.r, we spoke to Massdrop about this tonight. There had been a mixup on the originally posted price which was soon corrected. Massdrop sets the drop pricing so it's not something we have control over. The current drop price is the correct price. Nonetheless, you're getting an amazing watch and a bunch of useful extras at a great price! Plus it's backed by our hassle-free two year guarantee. We fully stand behind our tritium watches! Considering a reliable mechanical movement and fresh long-lasting tritium markers, it's the complete package!

ArmourLiteBeyond the two-year guarantee, how does support work? For instance, I'll be upgrading from a Luminox that has lasted me more than 10 years, but is starting to show its age. If my ArmourLite has any issues after the warranty is over, will you still do repairs, albeit at a cost?

guerrilla154Hi guerilla154
After the two-year guarantee we are still here for you to provide exceptional customer support and servicing if needed. Our servicing costs are quite reasonable. Whereas "other brands" outsource their servicing, we are proud to have an in-house service and repair center at our headquarters in Miami, Florida. Our in-house watchmakers and technicians have access to a comprehensive inventory of genuine spare parts to ensure the quality and integrity of all servicing jobs. By having this vital function in-house, the servicing and repairs are very cost effective and performed as quickly as possible.
More importantly, since this is an automatic watch without a battery, you probably won't need any servicing for the foreseeable future, if ever!

ArmourLiteThis may be a bit of a stretch, but is there any chance I could mix and match bezels, hands, and faces? I don't know how hands-on the manufacturing facility is, or how far ahead you make these, so it may not be possible at all. I'm currently committed to the gold AL1211, but I'm not super impressed by the odd colored hands. I decided on that one because I like the visible numbers on the face, but I'm not sold on the white markings around the bezel. Is there any chance I would be able to get the body of the AL1214, the face and hands of the AL1213, and the bezel of the AL1211? I know it's a long shot, but it would be amazing if you could do that, and the worst you can say is no!

ArmourLiteThe extras are a nice touch, but I've decided it's not for me. I'll keep an eye on future models - maybe one of them will be a must-have for me.

neil.rAre you sure? This is a pretty good deal on a solid watch...
Full disclosure, though - I wouldn't care one way or another, except for the fact that your leaving might cost me an extra $15.

guerrilla154I am. I only wear my mechanical watches a couple days each week, so I want to really like anything new. This just wasn't it for me. The price glitch pushed it over the edge.
Hope someone else fills that last slot for you.

guerrilla154Hi guerilla154, you really got us between a rock and a hard place here as we are really not fans of saying no! As much as we would totally find it cool to customize the watch for you, we aren't able to do it with these drops. Prior to each drop we set aside the inventory required and have it ready to ship the moment the drop ends. It's part of our commitment to Massdrop customers that they get their watch as quickly as possible after the drop. We would essentially have to take apart elements from the different models you mentioned to make the custom watch. :-(

ArmourLiteThat's understandable, and I can't be too upset at this amazing price point. Maybe somewhere down the road, if I decide I want another, I'll see what you guys can do for me.
On that note, though, Massdrop says the estimated ship date is almost a full month from now. If you guys ship as soon as the drop ends, why are they saying it won't ship until then?

guerrilla154The ship date is always a conservative figure on behalf of Massdrop, but we have an internal policy of shipping the moment we get the order from Massdrop. There's no point in making you wait!

ArmourLiteThat's good to hear. I'm actually making a cross-country move on the 15th of September, so it would be nice if it arrived before then...
