got in on this drop for all black chair. considered a few of the ones with other colors but at the end of the day all black will go with anything, if I choose a color it may not. so.... black is beautiful :)
have looked at other arozzi chairs and have to wonder as this is the most expensive model why cheaper models have metal base and yet this is plastic? verona pro for instance.
would getting a metal base be an option , replacing the plastic one? how big is the hole for the lift, in the base?

Stone_MaNThanks for your purchase.
Metal bases are not necessarily better.  I know on first glance people logically think metal is better. As you've mentioned, we do use less expensive metal bases on some of our chairs. But in reality this fully tooled, composite base is a better structure than the metal. You will notice the molded reinforcement built into it, for example. Also, tooling for plastic composites is more precise and better quality control than metal which will have some handcrafting involved. And one other factor is color, the base on the Vernazza will maintain its color even with shoes scraping against it, unlike metal bases which are painted. So, it was a conscience decision to actually provide the best quality product for the money.
There are chairs on the market, at retail price points higher than Vernazza that have tooled bases from aluminum alloys that are better, sure.  But we are talking about a significant cost upgrade.

ArozziScottI have had chairs with metal base and they too have "molded reinforcement built into it" the they looked EXACTLY like the underside of this plastic base. .... so is this suggesting that the metal bases arrozi use are not made this way?
what is the size of the hole in the base that the lift sits in? do you sell metal base as replacement parts?

Stone_MaNYes, a lot of metal bases, especially in the sub $400 gaming chairs are not tooled and reinforced  like you are talking about. Not just from Arozzi. I see them from a lot of companies and I also see composite bases that are less reinforced than ours.  I appreciate your attention to detail. But this is a good quality base. If you are not happy when you get it, contact us and we will work to make to insure you are.
