I bought this awesome chair through massdrop.com about two years ago. Covering and padding is in GREAT shape and looks like I've barely sat in it. One issue however. The piston that fits into the bottom legs has slowly sunk through the hole until it now hits the floor. Thus it catches the carpet and also sits almost two/three inches lower than it used to on the highest setting. Too low for me, being 6'4". I can't pull it back out and even if I could I am not sure how to avoid it dropping back down immediately.  Anyone have an idea for a fix or will the company help me out? Could probably take a hammer to it (rubber mallet is unsuccessful so far) but that might shatter the plastic. Seems odd that there wouldn't be a notch or step in the piston to avoid this scenario.

Unfortunately the company wants to charge me $120 to replace the piston and base as I am two months past the warranty. No explanation of how this defect would not just lead to the same issue. I have to say I no longer recommend the chair.

I have checked this article "best budget gaming chair" and it recommends some good budget chairs. Can you tell me which one to choose GTplayer or GTforce. Looking for under 160 bucks.

Katerchen, If you got a case of swamp ass or gym booty... then you for sure want to go with a mesh chair. There are different quality PU Leathers out there and we do use automobile grade PU. It will have some breath-ability. However, if you got the swamp ass then I would recommend the Forte Premium Fabric chair. We will launch this again in a few days. https://drop.com/buy/arozzi-mezzo-v2-gaming-chairs Cheers. B.Hutch

Looks like a comfy chair that won't break apart in a few months. Sadly, no shipping to where I live. Is there something similar and good durability (that holds at least 260lbs and comfy for a 6'3 guy) that can be bought from somewhere like Amazon/Office Max/etc ?

Howdy, This chair is now live again and the price is currently $249. I would not recommend any gaming chair under $100 as you are going to run into 3 problems for sure.
  1. Standard traditional foam padding that pancakes out very quickly (like within a few months). Leaving you with an unconformable chair to sit in.
  2. PU leather that is not durable or breathable. It will be hot and also crack, chip, flake, and shed.
  3. Cheap parts that will fail sooner than later such as the seat mechanism, arm rest, pistons, and base.
There is just no way someone can produce a quality sub $100 gaming chair that is built to last, give proper ergonomic support, be comfortable and ship it all the way from China to the re-seller her in the US and then to you the customer. Keep in mind that overseas shipping cost are about $10 bucks per chair if they are ordering in container quantities. Then, its about $35 per chair to ship from the re-seller to you the customer. Factor in the profit the re-seller needs to make to stay in business what type of chair could you possibly be getting if the re-seller is buying it from china for around $40-$45? Cheers.

What a fantastic chair! Super comfortable and well built! Has a steal frame, webbing support, and great material's. I love the rocking and the seat back tilt. I can't wait to get more seat time in it.
