it-manWe all wish there was such a thing as reasonable international shipping for items this large and heavy. But that's just not the reality. It is not Massdrop's fault.

ArozziScottHi there, the truth is that shipping costs are very inconsistent on massdrop, similar size items for international shipping are all the way from under $5 (eg the latest We Knife) to over $30 for other similar size. There are many websites (eg iHerb) where they have negiotated with the same courier (DHL) way more reasonable rates.

it-manI will find out from my colleagues if we currently have a distributor servicing your region and let you know.  Regarding shipping, these chairs are in big boxes.  They fall under the shipping category called "dimensional weight" so the freight cost is based on the dimensions of the package, not the actual weight..   The Vernazza box weighs 27 kg but the shipping "dimensional" weight is 42 kg.  We have very good negotiated rates with UPS.  It cost us $210 to ship one recently from Sweden to the US.  I cannot imagine what it would cost to ship to New Zealand.  If you're really interested to find out, contact us at service@arozzi.com

it-manThe actual weight is 27 kg.  The box dimensions are 860mm x 690mm x 350mm.  You're welcome.

it-manIn this case it's Camarillo, CA USA 93012  But, if you really want one, I can also check with the factory and see if they can ship one directly from China. It is not 100% certain that they could because they have to be producing the product right now, they don't keep stock. But it might be worth a shot and that is definitely the shortest shipping distance to NZ.
