RMaxim> The EARTH AR model is the first-ever augmented reality–enabled globe that lets you see our planet’s changes across history—from its elemental makeup to migrational movements of animals to current climate patterns and more.
At least bother to read the description first. It's doing something entirely different. I wouldn't fork out $170 for it, but not because it's redundant with Google Earth.

ArchdukechoculaI read the description and watched the videos before posting my comment. It's a cool use for Augmented Reality for sure. It's just also $170 for a 5-inch 3 pound resin globe. The phone app is available for free on the App Store but only works with their models.

RMaximThat's just a matter of how their business model works. They are using the app to sell the globe, but the sales obviously pay for the globe *and* the app. Not my cup of tea, but I can plainly see it's an entirely different product than Google Earth.
