What's preventing me from buying is the fact that not everything is in the same scale - to appreciate the size differences.

Can't be the same scale if you want them to be both visible to the naked eye and fit in a single room.

But, to your point, they could have done something to better represent the scale. Maybe have the terrestrial planets scaled together and the Jovian planets scaled together. What they have here is a bit misleading and not terribly educational.
