They are fatiguing because of tight and ear to close pads ... treble is so stong that i have to put them off to save my ears from harshness. I owned them for 6 months ... i hope they feel better with custom pads .. i also have status cb1 which i like more than these.

ThesnakeMine feel awesome with sheepskin pads... If treble is hot for you, might try dialing in with some tissue over the driver ("ye old pro audio trick")?

CEE_TEESorry about the off topic question, but do you consider another collaboration with Sennheiser soon on a new product ?:>

CEE_TEEWell, you might also try something a little higher tech. You might find simple EQ helps. Or, my current favorite is playing with the free (for now) Sonarworks Tru-Fi app on the android, and OTG to my FiiO E-18. Works on an iPhone too. I'm using it for my ATH-MSR7, they have an even more aggressive treble spike, it goes away with the SW treatment. Makes my Sennheiser HD-518 listenable again, too. I'm (reasonably?) thinking the M50xBT FR is same as the ATH-M50x. Now, if only someone could help those nice Latvian ppl behind SonarWorks add the ESP/95X to their list, well, everyone could benefit... [hint, hint, CEE_TEE]

Thesnakebig peaks under 10kHz on the CB1, above they drop like rocks. 50x keeps climbing. maybe what you listen to has too much eq of the real high end, using phones that reproduce it might hurt then. just sayin'...

CEE_TEEAnd last resort, there's always EQ to try and tweak with...or walking far enough out of range or line of sight with your source I suppose if you get extra desperate 😏😂
