Does anyone know of some inexpensive way: Kit, sheetrock addons, etc that prevent loud music to pass from my condo to the one next door? And if there are enough people interested, maybe work out a drop.

t3knologYou would need thicker walls. First thing you can try is changing your windows for some dual/ triple glass noise isolating type.

t3knologI've used Green Glue with great success! greengluecompany.com It's potentially a bit messy, but simple to use. Basically, you glue an additional layer of sheetrock to either side...but the results are pretty impressive. Cheep, too! A more expensive route is the newer "multi layer" sheetrock, that comes with it's own internal damping layer. If I recall, a few years ago it was about $40 a sheet or more for thicker. Or, some have actually carpeted the wall, to some effect. Carpet squares?

BoogiemouseIt seems that the recommended amount of greenglue per drywall sheet is slightly over 30$ then add that to the cost of the drywall itself. It doesn't seem cheap to me.
