Is there anybody from Europe with experience using this gadget? In the description it says that if my car's US equivalent is supported, that doesn't mean that it's going to work with my European car. This is the only reason I haven't bought it yet but I would be interested in the next drop if it works with my EU VW Golf mk4 and EU Jetta mk5

ManielloThe device itself will work with your car. That's not the problem.
But last time I check, the Automatic companion app wasn't widely available outside of the US. And you definitely need the app to fully take advantage of the data the dongle is able to grab from your car.

nelsonI have a US Apple ID, so getting the app isn't an issue. I thought there might be a difference between the EU and US cars' software or something that renders the dongle unusable in some cases. Thanks for clearing that up!
