This looks like a million bucks, but it's just too expensive for what you're getting. Can an owner chime in on this? I think in a world where you can get a great looking pair of LSX IIs for the same price, how does this scratch out at $1400, let alone that MSRP?
Hi, Im owner of a single piece and I can just say the sound is stunning in all range. Forget about the size/power colerration. This is breaks basic rules just like Devialet and I would say, in general it sounds better and more realistic compared to Devialet Phantom I or II.
I bought it for way more than 1400 (in Europe), so this is amazing price!!!
The KEF and B&O are really two very different things. If you want a standard decent looking bookshelf speaker, the KEF is a good choice. If style is important, then the B&O is the answer. Sound is so subjective, there's just no way to say one sounds better than the other. Build quality, parts, design - B&O wins all the time. To my taste, this sounds amazing, really great. Bass is deep (the KEF cannot go this low), and it is never strained at any volume. It tends to fill a room with sound. This is a single speaker, not a stereo pair. The KEF will have a far better soundstage, and probably seem better in the sweet spot sitting down. The B&O works all over the room. The app takes some getting used to - but it comes with a ton of streaming options, DLNA, Tidal Connect and Bluetooth. If you own other B&O WiFi speakers, it can be connected to them for multi-room playing.
My personal opinion, they are worth every penny of their price.
The only concern I have with this deal, it is far too good to be true. These speakers never go on sale anywhere. B&O tends to manage their third parties tightly. My fear is this will be like the Ortofon cartridge debacle several years ago - the money will be taken, the vendor contacted, and they back out of the deal; and then we wait for months to get a refund.
To be fair, while this isn't to my own tastes and I'm a self-admitted KEF fanboy, the LSX IIs will not get anywhere close to the bass response that the B&O is capable of. There's also a boatload of room correction/DSP built into the B&O that again is missing from the LSX II. But that being said, if I wanted speakers for watching movies/games, or even critical listening, I'd look at the KEFs first. The B&O is a lifestyle product that is meant to fill an entire room with ambient music, it'll never achieve the kind of imaging that you can get from the KEFs.
iwendtBuilt in DSP more than makes up for lack of sub out
The price is bonkers and it’s legit to ask if it’s too good to be true. On fulfillment however goods are in hand, this is not “do a drop and then attempt to drop ship from B&O”
It sounds very nice and it’s built very premium, only downside is tonal balance depending only what music you listen too the bass starts to fall short and the highs lack a bit over the mids which allows stay very clear and it gets very very loud.
I've had my eyes on these speakers for awhile now even at retail price, this deal definitely seems to good to be true. Has anyone who's ordered these actually received them? Also can anyone tell me if these have Google Assistant?
