Questions:
  1. Will I be able to enjoy these if I don't have an amplifier?
  2. Is there a link to the 250 ohm version of the premium limited-edition black?
I'll be using these for PC desktop use and have it hooked up my gaming PC which has a dedicated sound card. I understand it is a 600 ohm headphone and this is why I'm concerned. Thank you in advance.

SpaceVikingHaving owned the Asus Essence STX ii, Meridian Prelude, and Creative ZXR sound cards, I can tell you that while they do have enough power to drive the headphones, none of them will bring out the headphones' potential (or any audiophile grade headphones for that matter). They're best used for PC oriented things like gaming or videos, not for audio quality. For audio, AMP + DAC is still and may forever be the way to go. (For reference, I have DT 1990 PROs and even a Topping D10 sounds much more enjoyable on music for me than my Creative or Asus sound cards).

NeoKronos^^ I'll echo the above. The 990s are SUPERB gaming headphones. (In older CoD's I used to get accused of cheating all the time, but the truth was it was the superlative soundstage of my DT 990s telling me where everyone was.) I don't use them for music unless, for some reason, I really want to focus on soundstage ... certain live recordings are interesting. For music I stick to my Senn's.
