I am not as adamant as @manezinho is but I would not use a blade grinder. You will need to shake a blade grinder during grinding to get anything close to a consistent grind (I imagine you will need to learn technique). If you don't shake you will get some grinds that are too big (under extracted producing sour notes), and some grinds that are too small (over extracted producing bitter notes) all in all a bad cup of coffee! Personally I would get a burr grinder and learn the technique your method of coffee preparation requires. I believe you will get a much more satisfying cup with this approach. Don't get me started on drip makers that don't reach extraction temperatures. I get it though spend as little as possible, I just need the caffeine, I'll just add milk and sugar to make it palatable. The thing is that a properly prepared cup of coffee is amazing, coffee is more complex than dark chocolate, or red wine! If you drink great coffee a few times you would never want to drink bad coffee again. Most of you would be surprised that it was the same beverage that you have been consuming all this time. The state of coffee in this country would be much better if people could just once taste decent coffee (instead they insist on going to that mermaid). Alright I will get down off my soapbox now.

Macy3I would need to know your preparation method, and something about the coffee you are preparing.
