wweklundMine is marked "67 Layers". So 33 per side, and the core. It is definitely a light duty knife, but that's not really a bad thing. Just more of a "Gentleman's" carry. The blade stock is pretty thin, and hollow ground. So very thin behind the edge and able to get screaming sharp. My only gripe is the clip is tip-down only, and I'm a tip-up kind of guy.
I'm not 100% sure, but it appears the first two pics in the details are incorrect, and actually of the Gent 2 model. Smaller blade, and different dammy pattern. Mine looks like the last pic. I'll try to find a pic of mine.
weklundIt looks like Boker is now showing both patterns for the Gent 1 on their website. Maybe they changed. I really like the more random pattern, but don't mind the one I have. Still looks pretty good in person. But would be nice to know what we are buying in this drop.
wweklundIs your Gent 1 from this drop, or from a previous purchase elsewhere? Would love to see any pattern variations that show up through this drop. Although I still consider mine to be for super light duty only, it's still fun to carry on random occasions. Looks great, and I just figured that the price was right to add some Damascus to the collection. Now I know I really like Damascus, so many more are added to my knife hit list.
BflyingI purchased this beauty recently off Amazon. Super nice light duty knife with a very sharp edge. The blade is georgeous. I love the Ebony hardwood scales. I highly recommend this blade .
