There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

There is only one 'drop point' on this drop, which was unlocked at 36 participants, so the price that you see to join now is the same price that everyone in the group will pay. Most drops have 2 or 3 drop points, so I can see how that might have been confusing. Thanks for participating!
I see Massdrop as doing two things in terms of product offerings:
1. Offer a reasonable selection of commonly availabe items at a great price - usually better than almost anything else out there.
And ...
2. Offer incredibly difficult to find items. Period.
For number 2, I have absolutely no expectation of a discounted price. The fact that the product is being offer is astounding enough. Especially given the fact that Massdrop is a relatively young start-up and unproven in the eyes of many potential vendors.
If there is a discount on the difficult to find items, so much the better.
I know a lot of time and effort went into securing this Drop.
I hope that, as Massdrop grows and establishes a consistent track record, these sorts of Drops (hard to find stuff) - as well as deeper discounts on popular items - will become more common.
Oh, and in case I didn't make my implication clear, this drop definitely falls in the #2 category. Sure the ink may be available elsewhere - in the cool bottles to boot - but not in these colors!
Thanks for all the hard work, @JonasHeineman!
As usual, I hope this helps.
Cheers.
Fine Print: Periodically updated, affiliations - if any - are clearly marked, opinions expressed on mine.
The only really hard thing here is to choose just two of the colors :D.
So again, thanks @JonasHeineman and his crew to make this possible, I really appreciate this happening.
Thanks, Mark
