Clad is different than plating. The description shows that this item is copper plated, not clad. If it were clad, this would be a great deal as it would have a significant outer layer of copper. With it being plated, it's just an overpriced stainless steel lasagna pan.

oil4mqThis item is copper cladded not plated. There is a solid layer of copper that is cladded to a solid layer of stainless steel.

efineFirst paragraph: " The exterior is copper plated, while the interior is made of polished stainless steel. "
Under Specs: Specs
  • Cambridge SilverSmiths
  • Copper-plated exterior
  • Stainless steel interior
  • Hand-hammered
  • Dimensions: 9 x 13 in (22.9 x 33 cm)
  • Hand wash only

It doesn't say anywhere, other than the title, that it is clad. It all says it is plated. It does not describe it as having a solid layer of copper anywhere. Unless they made a mistake in the description, this is what you are going to get. If the description is wrong and it is truly clad, then I'm all for getting one. Gotta read buddy.

efineYou may want to contact Massdrop about this to get it updated. Do you have pictures showing the thickness of the cladding? The current pictures don't do a good job of showing that.
