Is this good quality? I’ve been kinda looking at buying a 3D printer and this sale is very appealing, anyone know if it’s worth it?
Ne02ptzeroLooks like the bad reviews are people getting early units that have been sitting around Amazon warehouses for a long time(2+ years) and the company has made major improvements to the latest version. Now what you are getting from Drop who knows?

epicninjagaming_ytIf this comes from stock that is at all new-ish (newer than 2016/2017?) then this is a great deal. There have been some upgrades since the original Kickstarter units shipped (2014?) that have improved reliability. Would appreciate a note from Drop regarding this.

ijprestAbsolutely need @Drop to let us know the age of the stock these are coming from.

epicninjagaming_ytThis is the concern... the possibility of a 4 year old unit.

smallbitwould they ever tell us how old the unit is? Im sure it is a high possibility of being 3+ yrs old.

smallbitSadly. If they'd give indication that this was a revision that wasn't going to require 60+ upgrades at the factory, wasn't going to have the print head start leaking wildly within a day or three of ownership, or just wasn't going to suck hard enough to pull a bowling-ball through a garden hose... they'd have sold a bunch. But it is especially clear these days that @Drop / @Drop+Tech doesn't give a crap about questions we pose regarding non collaboration projects (Prove me wrong @Drop ). Not touching this POS.

FayneYeah, with a 73% discount off MSRP it seems much more likely to me that they are waaay old stock rather than improved.
